How Neurodivergent Yoga Works

A living framework for focus, calm, energy, and flow — built for neurodivergent nervous systems.

When Neurotypical Wellness Leaves Us Behind

You’ve probably been told to “just meditate,” “exercise more,” or “stick to a routine.” Most of that advice wasn’t designed for neurodivergent nervous systems—especially if you live with sensory overwhelm, focus swings, chronic fatigue, or emotional intensity.

You don’t need fixing. You need tools that actually fit.
That’s where real yoga—my kind of yoga—comes in.

How Yoga Became My Way Back To Myself
(And Still Is)

I came to yoga through movement and thought it was about doing it “right”—perfect routines, balance, achievement. It never clicked. Everything felt performative and incomplete.

Then I learned yoga isn’t something you perform for others; it’s something you explore within yourself. I’m still—and will always be—a student. Yoga for me is returning, refining, listening, adapting.

It’s not trends or strict programs. It’s a living, breathing framework that meets each of us exactly where we are.

If you’ve always felt “different,” that’s a gift—and this kind of yoga will honor it.

The piece that finally made it all make sense?
Understanding my three centers—head, heart, and belly—
and learning how to support them together.

What Makes Neurodivergent Yoga Different

Neurodivergent Yoga is built around the 3-Brain Somatic Yoga™ framework — a practical way to understand how your system really works.

We don’t just think with our heads — we also feel with our hearts and sense safety through our bellies. When one is overloaded, the others follow.

This approach helps all three reconnect, so you can feel steady, focused, and safe in your own body again.

Once I understood that each “brain” had its own language, everything shifted!
The 3-Brain framework gave me a clear map of how to
meet myself — not fight myself — in real time.

What Are The 3-Brains?

The 3-Brain Yoga™ framework is based on three distinct nervous system centers in the body:

Head– Processes thought, focus, planning, and overthinking.

Heart– Handles emotions, connection, self-worth, and overwhelm.

Belly– Regulates safety, digestion, intuition, energy, and sensory input.

Each one is it's own nervous system — with its own functions, patterns, and needs.

Why They Matter

Many yoga spaces focus only on the mind or body. But for neurodivergent people, that’s not enough. When one "brain" is out of sync, it affects everything else.

Any one of them can become overloaded, disconnected, or stuck in survival mode (like looping thoughts, emotional shutdown, or freeze).

3-Brain Yoga™ helps you:
• Build self-trust
• Support your unique energy
• Regulate overwhelm
• Start where you’re stuck

Before You Dive In…

Neurodivergent Yoga is for adult humans — the kind who’ve tried a hundred “fixes,” crave steadiness, and just want something that fits.
If that sounds like you, you’re probably in the right place!

💡 You’re Probably in the Right Place If...

✅You’ve tried wellness advice that never really worked
✅You want more clarity and steadiness without force
✅You’re sensitive to sound, light, or overstimulation
✅You want your energy changes honored — not forced
✅You’re open to Eastern practices that support whole-self  healing
✅You want tools that honor your body and your lived experience

🛑 This Might Not Be a Fit If...

❌You’re looking for a strict routine or a quick fix
❌You want a one-size-fits-all formula to follow
❌You equate “success” with productivity or perfection
❌You’re not open to body-based or spiritual elements of practice
❌You expect yoga to look like a studio workout

This space was built for exploration, not expectation.
If you’ve been craving something that meets you exactly where you are — welcome home.

Just so we’re clear — here’s how this space works.

• Everything shared here is educational and supportive, not a substitute for medical or mental health care. • • Please check in with your own care team before starting something new.
• Yoga isn’t a religion — there’s no dogma here. Just tools you can explore, adapt, or ignore.
• I teach with deep respect for yoga’s roots while acknowledging that this is a Western adaptation — one       shaped for neurodivergent needs, accessibility, and modern life.

My goal is to help you reconnect with your body’s own wisdom — safely, slowly, and on your terms.
